First, let me quickly introduce myself. My name is Katinka Wondergem, and I have a PhD in chemistry from Utrecht University. While I was obtaining this degree, I found that I am passionate about communicating science both to my peers and the general public. This led me to start WonderChemContent, to allow me to both keep writing (popular) scientific texts and help others write their own.
After obtaining my PhD, I started working at Nagoya University in Japan as a postdoctoral researcher and later as assistant professor. In the latter position, I was fortunate enough to combine my work with my passion for science communication. I was involved with international (public) relations of the Faculty of Science. At the same time, I enrolled in The University of Edinburgh's master program Science Communication and Public Engagement, offering me the theoretical background to take your work to the next level. If you choose to let me proofread your work, you can count on me to check not only your grammar, punctuation, and word usage, but also the structure of your text, readibility, and assess both context and content.
Next to that, my services include translations of short (scientific) texts, like the summary of a PhD thesis, or web pages. I offer translations from English to Dutch and vice versa. I also offer guidance to transform your Japanese text into natural sounding English. Finally, I also offer consultancy on projects related to my PhD research (heterogeneous catalysis, nanomaterials, and vibrational spectroscopy).

私はをWONDERGEM Katinkaです。ユトレヒト大学で化学の博士号を取得しました。その間、同僚研究者だけでなく一般の方々にも科学を伝えることに情熱を持っていると気づきました。この経験から、（一般向け）科学記事の執筆を続けるとともに、他の方々の文章作成を支援したいと考え、WonderChemContent を立ち上げました。
博士号取得後は、日本の名古屋大学でポスドク、そして助教として勤務しました。助教としての仕事では、科学コミュニケーションへの情熱と研究活動を両立させる機会に恵まれました。理学部の国際（対外）広報に関わる一方で、エディンバラ大学の修士課程「Science Communication and Public Engagement」に在籍し、科学コミュニケーションに関する理論的背景を身につけました。私に校正をご依頼いただいた場合、文法・句読点・語法だけでなく、文章構成、読みやすさ、文脈や内容の整合性まで丁寧に確認いたします。
また、博士論文のサマリーやウェブページなど、短い（科学系）テキストの翻訳も承っています。英語⇔オランダ語の翻訳に対応しており、日本語の文章を自然な英語へと磨き上げるサポートも可能です。最後に、博士研究に関連するプロジェクト（不均一系触媒、ナノ材料、振動分光法）についてのコンサルティングも提供しています。
